III EUROPEAN CHILDREN DRAMA AND ART CAMP
1 ? 14.8.2008 in Helsinki and Malminharju, Finland
To those who love drama and art,
Welfare and Culture Unit and Teatteri Totti, at the Finnish Association of the Deaf, are happy to
organise this camp for the third time! The first and second camps were held in Finland in 2002 and
2005. This time the topic is PIRATES OF THE SEA!
The goal of this camp is to give opportunity to motivated 10-15 years old youth, who use sign
language as their primary language, to receive extensive and supplemental training in drama, art and
photography. It is also a good place for everyone to share or exchange different cultures and
experiences. International sign language would be used at the camp to communicate with everyone
on an equal basis. An open house will be arranged at the end of the camp for students to show off
their work in drama, art, and photography. The purpose of this is for students to bring back home
the skills they have learned and use it as a tool in pursuing artistic interests throughout life.
The hired staff are sign language users and very skilled in their fields.
Dawn Jani Birley ? Camp Director Benjaporn Lindfors ? Art

recommendation should be added with the application form. Such letter is important because it will
help us evaluate and screen the applicants? potential and interest during the selection process for
camp participation since only 30 would be selected.
Please return application form and letter of recommendation by MARCH 31, 2008.
